Sound engineer and sound reinforcement services
I'm Les Dershem of Celtic Warrior Sound. I have an A.A. in Theatre Technology from Sinclair Community College and am currently working on a B.A. in Theatre at Miami University. I offer sound reinforcement and sound effect design, as well as prop and set design and construction. I plan on adding lighting services and design in the future.
I have worked on set and prop construction, sound and lighting services, lighting and set design, and stage crew for:
- Sinclair Community College Theatre productions of Taking Steps and Stop Kiss (2008-2009 season), Little Shop of Horrors and Dog Sees God (2009-2010 season), Once on This Island, The Foreigner, Student Showcase, and Women of Lockerbie (2010-2011 season), and The Crucible, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, And Almost, Maine (2011-2012 season.)
- Scrooge: The Musical, presented in 2011 by Dayton Playhouse.
- Miami University Theatre production of Our Town (2011-2012 season.)
- Irish musicians performing at Second Street Market, Riverside Community Festival and Dayton Celtic Festival.
- I have also done outdoor political rallies and wedding receptions.
- In 2011 I had the pleasure of working with an outstanding bluegrass group, Jetts Creek.
- The 2010 Student Showcase at Sinclair was selected for presentation at the 2010 Kennedy Center Acmerican College Theatre Festival, and the set, design for the Sinclair production of "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" won a Certificate of Merit at the 2011 Kennedy Center Acmerican College Theatre Festival.
